Not for a new born
I really wanted to like this car seat, but it has been nothing short of a nightmare. From day one, my child was sliding left and right no matter how I adjusted the straps or padding. It felt like I was constantly re-positioning them during every ride. The seat offers little to no side support, and I genuinely don’t understand how this made it through safety testing for newborns. The engineering is poor — it feels flimsy, awkward to install, and just not well thought out in terms of keeping a baby safe and secure. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this seat to anyone with a newborn or young infant. Maybe it might work better for a baby five months or older who can sit up with more control, but for a smaller or younger baby, it’s just not safe or stable enough in my opinion. If you’re looking for peace of mind during car rides, this is not the seat for you. I regret this purchase and would not recommend it to other parents.

The weight is right but the rest isn't.
I purchased the Romi for a up coming 6 hour flight to Seattle my troller in and for the car rental. Found a good number of reviews that recommended as super light weight and great for traveling. My honest opinion after a solid week of use is I wouldn't use this car seat. Yes, it is very light weight, but the positioning of the opening for the car seat belt is terrible. When in the rear facing position when strapping in my kid, it would dip down. And this was after repositioning the car seat belt a number of times. No confidence it would be in any type of semi fixed position in a crash. The tightening scrap was constantly getting stuck in both directions. If your taking this for a flight, it will more than likely only for in the forward direction, as rear facing the seat is right up against the seat in front. Also, the aircraft seat belt buckle will sit under your childs lower back when tight, not a good feeling. Honestly, I can't recommended the Romi. Yes, it is cheap and light weight, but that's the only good things.

LIGHT AND AMAZING
So amazing! We love this car seat! We had it for our son and now our daughter. Having it be so lightweight is the biggest plus. Car seats can be SO heavy and this one is incredible for travel! Highly recommend!

Great convertible seat
We loved this car seat. It was easy to install with the included directions. It seemed comfortable for our toddler, and has good protection. Luckily we haven't had to clean it other than a quick vacuum out but it seems easy to clean. I have already recommended this one to a few friends who are expecting babies.

Lightweight & Comfy
I love how easy this car seat fits in my car and how lightweight it is for traveling and taking on the airplane and a huge plus is that my daughter is comfortable in it.

My baby didn't sleep in a car seat until this one
This car seat is so comfortable my baby just chills in it like she NEVER has before in her old one! And since we're big on traveling it's been so nice have to her take naps on the go and this car seat is just so comfy it's easier for her to sleep. Some fun features like the cup holder and headrest pillow too! I love this seat!

Well made and high quality
We've been using this baby seat for our little boy for a few weeks and its everything we need in a car seat. Its made of high quality materials and very sturdy. However it's not as heavy as it looks and we're able to move and maneuver it easily. The straps are very soft and comfortable for the baby too. I am very happy with the seat and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
