Bought it seen a review saying it was 12 or 13 g but when I got it, it only weighed 3 g with the tag on so ended up returning it because how light it was and seemed very delicate like one simple tug and it’s broken you’re better off going into a Macy’s seeing in person

Wish I would have kept looking. I was super excited because I was in the market for some gold and I caught a crazy sale from Macy's. I did a lot of research and decide to make the jump and buy not one but 3 gold rope chains. It started badly because they ran my card wrong and had to run my card twice for one purchase and I just had to wait for the other money to just be refunded. Then just like other reviews stated the Clasp was really cheap and broke after only 2 uses. I didn't buy the warranty because like most I figured that the bad reviews would just be one off's or people with bad luck but true to fashion after legit only two wears the clasp broke on one of the chains. Then I'm starting to notice another one of these unraveling. So out of 3 chains 2 of them have issues. And good luck with getting customer service to help you. Who knows where your call will be picked up and after an hour of just sitting on the phone or being transferred I was told to go to a jeweler to fix it.

Cheap Clasp
The clasp broke after taking the necklace off 2 times during the first month of ownership. Glad I purchased the warranty after reading reviews of the clasp quality on necklaces sold by Macy's. I am not excited that I have to wait possibly 2+ weeks to get it back. Not having any visibility into the repair process doesn't provide any comfort. The warranty covers cleaning which required it to be sent off. This seems like a simple task that could be done in store. In hindsight I regret this purchase and should have followed my gut.

Great Chain
Very well made, solid and shiny chain. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Poorly made, kinks inevitable.
The chain is shiny with beautiful color, unfortunately, that's where the positive stops. The chain arrived with multiple kinks. I was able to get out all but three. The chain is not made well - instead of constructed in one tight, connected rope, it is made up of several tiny individual pieces that create the "rope" look. These tiny individual pieces are delicate and kink so easily. It's not a necklace that can be slept in without getting tangled. It weighs 13 grams. I returned mine and will try to find a strongly constructed chain.
