I would not buy this gate again

The gate was easy to install, closes behind pretty quick to keep baby out. However after about a week the top button broke making it very difficult to open one handed. I have to push the button down with 2 hangs squeeze the bottom button and shake the gate up and down till it opens. Not very helpful when you have a sleeping baby in your arms and you want to take them to bed.

Will stop recommending

I normally recommend this brand to new parents. Affordable and normally crafted well. I had put 2 of these on our baby registry as well as a few other safety first products. One of the two gates the locking mechanism started to get harder to open and close. It has now finally become impossible for my wife to open. Very disappointed to read this happens often. Afraid quality in the other products may soon suffer as well unless the company intervenes.

Ouch!

It's definitely sturdy but it is too hard to unlatch. We have it at the top of our stairs so we have to go through it several times a day. After a day, the joints in your hand hurt after needing to use so much hand strength to open the latch. I am due with my 2nd baby and don't think we will be able to keep the gate there because I won't be able to open it one handed.

Excellent Pressure Mount Gate

Overall excellent metal gate. Simple clean design with clear easy to understand mounting instructions. No tools required make this (10) minute install even better. Product seems very durable and well made. Pressure mount is strong but doesn't damage door trim or walls. Release mechanism is intuitive to use. Auto close works very well even when gate is opened all the way and released. Additional touches like being able to swing in one or both directions with a simple easy to use lock out feature is a nice touch. Gate can also be locked in place if need be. Highly recommend this product.

Great Baby Gate!

We've set up these gates on the stairs and found that they are incredibly easy to add to doorways, as well. They swing easily to open, automatically close and stay in place once installed!

The best gate we've bought!!

This is one of they best gates we've bought! It is super easy to install, I'm talking about in minutes this is up and ready! The best part is it's not flimsy at all and stays put even with a lot of force! I have two boys that constantly pushed and pulled on it and it never moved! This gate definitely did what it says and kept my boys safe from our steps. I honestly cannot recommend this enough! If you have little ones and are looking for a perfect gate, this is most definitely it!
