Who is responsible to take the links off?

the watch is amazing, it's beautiful and all. just like other watches, I needed some links removed, so I took it to Macy's store in Lakeline Mall, Austin. a very rude and arrogant lady in jewelary department said she cannot risk take the links off because they only carry Citizen and Rado watches in store. I had to take it elsewhere and pay $$ to have links removed. if Macy's cannot stand behind their online products, why carry them to begin with??
