Great mix of hard shell and low weight

I was agonizing over weight vs shell sturdiness and I opted for this suitcase. I think it's the perfect balance. Of course, cost is always a factor as well, and the black Friday price was the lowest I had seen so SCORE!

light weight

This luggage has a design flaw that is an embarrassment to their brand. The back hinge on the suitcase is about 5" long. This is a joke and it failed in 11 months with travel about once per month. They replaced it for free with the same defective unit. Do NOT buy as you will be throwing your money away. Always look at how long the back hinge is as compared to other equivalent sized suitcases.
