Looked Great at First But Doesn’t Age Well ⚔️

When I first got this Schmidt Bros. Jet Black 7-Piece Knife Block Set, I was impressed by the sleek design and especially the magnetic stand it’s stylish, convenient, and a real conversation piece. For the first few weeks, it looked amazing on my counter. But after just a few months of normal kitchen use, the jet-black coating started to scratch off, revealing uneven spots underneath. The finish looks dull and patchy now, and I honestly don’t even know what shade of black this is supposed to be anymore. The knives still function fine, but the appearance has gone downhill fast, which defeats the purpose of owning a designer knife set. I used to proudly display them now I’d rather keep them tucked away. ⭐ 2 out of 5 stars — Great concept, poor durability. Looks aren’t meant to fade this fast.

Good-Looking Knife Set / Titanium Coating Issues

First off, this is a very beautiful knife set. I am excited to use it, but I was disappointed in the quality of the Titanium coating right out of the box (the paring knife doesn't seem like it was completely coated). Other than that, all of the other silicon spots washed up nicely with dish soap.

Paint flakes off into food

Bought this product a little over a year ago. Hand washed them each time after use. And the paint has chipped off. The knives are beautiful and are great to handle but the paint chipping is a problem.

Black flaking off into food as I cut

I bought these knives 5 months ago and the black finish is flaking off as I cut, and getting in my food. Not happy about this but was happy with the knives until this started. I’m hoping they are returnable. I have only hand washed them.
