The bar that mounts to the wall does not lie flush because the screw is in the wrong place creating a gap between the wall and the bar. "( So when you pull a knife from the magnet it shakes or bangs. It would be easier to show in a video versus a photo Design is beautiful tho.

Pretty but flawed
It does what it says on the tin, but like many others who have reviewed it, the French cleat mounting system is simply bad. I thought maybe those folks hadn’t tightened it down enough, so I really made sure my mount bar was tight to the wall. Despite the effort, it wobbles. Add to that the fact that the cleat doesn’t capture/prevent any horizontal movement, so once it’s hanging, the bar can slide freely left and right (up to a limit), which is also just poor design. This object clearly is designed for mass production and lacking in human-centered design.

Pretty but needs work
While this wall mounted magnetic knife holder looks great it is lacking in a couple of areas. The most important being the magnets. While they hold your knives, they could be a bit stronger. Also I think they are circular and should be bar type. I find weak spots. The finish is very thin and very easily scratches revealing the wood beneath. Also as other have stated the template for hanging is way off and I find it lazy that a company that claims to be one of high standards has no remedied this issue.

The reviews are accurate and the mounting template is basically useless how ever you can simply place the screws in the brackets and press them into your mounting surface to make accurate marks. The magnets and overall look is great no complaints.

Nice Product, Poor Installation Template
Product has been installed and looks great in our kitchen. However, the template provided to align the screw locations was misaligned to the product, requiring us to drill an extra hole in our tile. Be cautious during install.

Quality product
Looks great, followed the instructions to wipe down with cutting board oil and there was no color bleed which is fantastic. The only reason I remove a star is because of how the magnets are arranged. I think they are indivisible pieces rather than a bar, which means knives don’t stick consistently and really thing chef knives don’t hold as strong as I would like, but it’s not week enough that I think they’ll fall off on their own.
