Happy embroidering!

Since embroidery is more of a hobby for me, this machine is great. With the 5x7 frame I can do most of what I want. User friendly and so easy to download new designs to flash drive. Then I also have the ability to sew with it. Works great for me, Love it

I wish it would cut the thread.

I bought this machine mostly for the embroidery functions. However, it is very inconvenient to use because it only cuts the thread after each color. So, if you are doing a design with say black thread jn one area and it needs to go to another area it will drag a line of thread across your design to get to that point. If it has to stop and start frequently with the same color, you have jump strings of black thread going all over your design. I know it's one of the less expensive machines, but the cutting feature seems like a necessity. When I have stitched with the embroidery functions, I'm very happy with the quality of the stitches and overall ease of use. I have not used the sewing machine functions.

We apologize for any inconvenience. The Brother SE1900 is equipped with the end color trim function and will automatically trim the thread after each color if this function is turned on. You will see jump stitches if the same color is sewn but in different areas. Those jump stitches can be trimmed after sewing is complete. We would love to help answer any questions you may have. Nice Machine for beginner or more experience sewer

SE1900 is a nice machine for my needs. Sews nicely. Haven't tried the embroidery side yet, but have been mending clothes and it has been a breeze getting my clothes back to wearable.
