Love it but disappointed with shrinking

I looked all over for a navy coverlet for our Queen bed and was disappointed to see manufacturers still making Full/Queen size together and 90” x 90” which doesn’t begin to cover a bed with a slightly thicker mattress. So I was excited to see this brand in an oversized 96” x 100” coverlet. The instructions said to wash first So I washed it in cold water with Woolite on delicate and dried for a short time on Low. I then spread it out to air dry the rest of the way. I put back in for just a matter of a few minutes on Low before putting on our bed. It had shrunk to 90 1/2” x 97 1/2 and was too short to cover the sides of our bed. We turned it the other way and it doesn’t go fully to the top of our bed but since pillows are all there it’s not seen. I love the color and the cotton feel but was hoping at this price point they could have “preshrunk” their cotton to keep it from shrinking. Hopefully when I have to wash it in the future it won’t continue.

Diamond Matelasse Coverlet

The Sferra diamond matelasse coverlet is luxurious, beautifully finished, and has a soft hand. It's a little thinner than I had hoped, but looks lovely on my bed. It's oversized, so even after washing, it should still cover the mattress generously. I highly recommend it.
