Footrest Back do not function independently

The back of this recliner must be FULLY reclined before the footrest begins to rise, thus you're not able to sit up in the chair with the footrest raised. Very disappointed as I've never seen a recliner like this. Return was initiated the same day the recliner arrived. Although the dimensions were described as noted, this chair was very small.

Don’t Buy

I bought two of these and am sending both back after putting one together and being very disappointed in the lack of quality. I have bought a lot of furniture from Macys over the last 35 years and have always been pleased until now. Do not waste your time and energy on these chairs.
