Surpassed my expectations
I purchased this machine to sew upstairs in my room. I have a Quantum 9960 which I love and this machine was purchased as a backup. Well let me tell you, this Machine surpassed my expectations. It’s sews great even through several layers and I can’t be happier with her. I purchased a refurbished Machine that looked brand new. I love my Singer machines and I recommend it a 100 percent.

Promise™ II 1512 Sewing Machine review
It gets stuck sometimes, we have to re-insert and re-align the thread. It works, so i have to give three to four stars

Unimpressed
Works okay. Have had to reinstall the bobbin case & all housing twice, reattach the presser foot and its holder twice - all in first few days. Sounds like it's struggling. Not like the Singer I replaced that was 25 yrs old. Lots of plastic. All around cheap but works. Top is cracked on both sides of carry handle and across the handle, which should have been disclosed, making it the machine not quite fully refurbished to factory standards. I need to finish my project ot else if return it.

Refurbished product didn't work
I ordered the refurbished promise 2 for my momma for mothers day. When she was finally able to use it, it didn't work and ruined fabric.

feed dogs does not work after a couple use
I've had my machine for about 6 years and barely use it, still looks new. Finally brought it out to use again during this pandemic and the feed dogs does not feed fabric through at all. Frustrating issue because i hate pulling the fabrics to go through when sewing. I already tried troubleshooting with all the advice provided on Singer website. This model also has very limited tutorials and troubleshooting tips. Go with a more popular model.

Christmas Gift
I have this to my 21 year old daughter for Christmas- She wants to design and make clothes. She loved it!! Jumped right in and started.
