Beginner Friendly

As a beginner all the YouTube videos regarding this specific model has only added to the fun of learning how to sew and what all this machine can do. I have made doll clothes, a hoodie, a quilt and a couple small things as test projects.

Great features

Singer problems

My machine was a gift 2 years ago. It never did thread the needle like it was supposed to. Now the thread cutter broke. Our local sewing machine store can't get the part from Singer. So I don't know if I can get it fixed. I cant afford a new machine. Singer is not as good as it used to be.

Buy this machine!

This is a great machine for those new to sewing and quilting AND for those more seasoned! It sews and quilts with ease and sews the decorative stitches beautifully! Some of the stitches can be adjusted (flipped, mirrored, and a few size up/down). It is not picky about thread, easy to thread, easy to clean. The needle threader and the thread cutter actually work (I cannot say that for my different brand machine that was three times the price of this lovely Singer). It is also surprisingly quiet! It comes with a generous number of presser feet and accessories, including a walking foot and an small extension table!) that I use regularly for a wide variety of sewing and quilting projects. There is really nothing I dislike about this machine. It’s truly amazing and is absolutely without question the best machine, especially for the price!
