Microphone Did Not Work

I purchased this for a Christmas present for a 4 year old. Very disappointed that the microphone did not work, and didn't seem to have an place to add or replace a battery. Needless to say the child was disappointed too.

Abby Cadabby Singing Karaoke Machine

It's very cute, I wish instructions were included. I had to call Customer Service to figure it out. I still don't know if it stores the recordings or if once you make another it erases the rest of them.
