Excellent upgrade especially for a smaller TV
Excellent sound upgrade for my Bravia 43” TV. it is the same width as the TV and fits perfectly below the screen. Setup is simple especially if you already have a Bravia TV, once it is connected to WiFi updates can happen easily. Centre sync is great for even better sound using the speakers integrated in the Bravia screen. It also integrates perfectly with iPhone, iPad and Alexa to play music without needing the TV on. If I had a much larger TV then I would have got the larger Sound bar with upwards firing speakers but for my TV setup this is excellent.

Excellent all-in-one soundbar for smaller rooms
I bought this soundbar to use with my Sony 48" TV and it's a great match as the width of the soundbar is almost the same as the TV. The soundbar has built-in subwoofers, which are good enough not to need the external subwoofer most of the time. Despite the Dolby Atmos support, the surround sound effect is limited with just the soundbar by itself. I expect this to me much improved if the optional rear speakers are used, but I didn't get those.

Ok but wish I bought the next model up
Replaced an old incompatible Sonos soundbar when I replaced TV. Whilst the sound is OK it isn’t as good as the soundbar it replaced. I wish I had spent a bit more and got the next model up but was put off by the price. My mistake! There’s nothing wrong with it and for many it will be fine. I have just experienced better and am missing my old soundbar!

Great entry level soundbar
Bought this as an upgrade to my previous Sony soundbar. Setting the HT-A3000 up was so easy and been using for 2 weeks. The dialogue is so much clearer using the front speaker fearure which my TV supports. Also using the HDMI ARC input on the TV mean I now only need to use 1 remote control for the TV and sound. I find the built in subwoofer are okay for my requirements when streaming movies however you can purchase an external subwoofer and rear speakers as an optional extra for fully immersive surround sound.

Great sound
This soundbar is exactly what we wanted. We have a long room and previously had problems hearing speech from the TV at the far end of the room. There are no such problems with this equipment. It's very easy to adjust and looks good.

Sound issues
Excellent sound but intermittent sound issues as it breaks up. So far good support from Sony but the issue still remains unresolved.

Replaced with Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 8 (HT-A8000)
Purchased the A3000 for our new Bravia 8 TV. The sound was rubbish, regardless of what settings we tried. Returned it after a week and upgraded to the Bravia Theatre Bar 8 (HT-A8000), which was easy to set up and works like a dream. Preferred design on A3000 - easier to dust and keep clean.
