Walkman ZX700 series
For the past months, i had been using this Walkman NW-ZX707 and its MONEY WELL SPENT. The sound is SONY signature 360 and Hi Res audio. Compared with other DAP players that i collected namely A&K, Cayin, Fiio, Shanling etc. ONLY SONY WALKMAN can play NETFLIX with 360 audio. A good travelling companion. You NAILED IT SONY. Being a DAP collector, I also had SONY WM1 AM2 and NW 306 but the system is a little slow. Waiting for the next firmware update to SPEED UP the system.

Sound quality and built is excellent
I bought this as a birthday gift to mysrlf, its an excellent DAP works very well with almost all music audio and movie streaming apps. It sounds grest with my bluetooth Bose earphone

Sound great but compatibility to improve
I upgraded from F886, ZX700 sound great on both 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone jack with my Shure se846. It would be great if the combability can improve with iPhone. Although, ZX700 is android based, can easily install streaming apps, I would appreciate if it can serve as DAC for iphone. I have tried the DAC mode with my iPad Pro with USB-C port, it work fine. Unfortunately, when I plug-in the lightning otg cable with my iPhone 13 Pro Max / iPhone 11 Pro Max, my iPhone showed that ZX700 uses too much power. I have look for any setting to solve this, seems no options for ZX700 not charging from the iPhone connected. I have asked the professional portable audio gear stores, some other clients have the same problem and cannot resolve. This combability issue is not purely Sony's problem, but I hope option for "not charging from connected device" would available when connected to iPhone as well, or some other ways to solve this problem in coming update.

Wonderful DAP ZX700
I purchased the DAP about two months ago and have enjoyed the Great Quality musical output Nirvaana that it creates!!. It is another great product by Sony. The only input that I have is I wish there were a bit more volume available - it seems it has been limited due to some Local requirements, however there should be an option to increase it. Also, the Equalizer could be better to be able to generate better Bass. However a wonderful piece of equipment. overall.

One Feature Defeats a Perfect Review
I like all but one feature on this DAP. The sound volume is crippled without the high gain feature. With bluetooth headphones the volume is great. With wired headphones/earbuds the volume has to be at or near max to enable proper listening. I hope Sony will fix this with a future firmware update.

In this case, switch the output setting to High Gain. Also, the AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) function reduces the risk of damage to ears from loud volumes. Using AVLS limits the maximum volume. Disappointed experience.
The ZX707 3.5mm and 4.4mm output are too soft. It cannot power my favorite headphones. Even using the Sony IER-M9, the sound level is still so soft at max volume. The ZX707 becomes an useless player. I had google online and found that the Japan version was uncapped and the volume output is more than enough to support the high end headphones. Unfortunately Singapore version is capped.
