This speaker is not worth the price
I bought this speaker to replace a party box, yet the power consumption is horrible, about 10 hours not 30, and the sound is as loud as a party box, ULT makes very little difference, and on day 3 it quit charging

We sincerely apologize that the SRS-ULT70 speaker has not met your expectations, especially regarding the battery life and the sudden failure to charge on day three. We understand the frustration of getting significantly less performance than the advertised 30 hours, and that a brand-new unit has stopped charging altogether. This immediate failure to charge is highly unusual, and we recommend the following steps: Ensure you are using a functioning power outlet. Make sure the AC adapter is firmly seated in both the speaker and the outlet. Consult the speaker's manual for instructions on performing a full hardware reset. Regarding the battery life and volume comparison to your previous speaker, the 30-hour life is measured at a specific volume level and with the ULT Power Sound feature turned off. Using high volume and the ULT features will significantly reduce the operating time, but a drop to 10 hours is still concerning. Because the unit quit charging on day three, we strongly recommend you contact our support team immediately for warranty service or replacement. We are committed to making this right. Good sounding speaker is surprisingly balanced.
I think the ULT Field 7 sounds good with LDAC and streaming from Qobuz. I had to put my HiFi system away as I have remodelled my living room and was looking for a decent sounding speaker that be moved. I listen to a lot of classical, some jazz and a little rock/soul and ‘80s. The sound is very decent with nice bass in ULT1 mode with crisp treble. ULT2 seem to boost mid-bass a bit too much for my taste. Stereo image (as to be expected) not optimal, but you could buy a second unit and have them paired in stereo. Battery life seems very good, even from 90% with the battery care function. The only thing I could wish for, is that when you turn the light function OFF all the lights are off : including the ULT button that keeps flashing different colours in tempo. I have covered it with black tape.

ULT Field 7
Device cannot handle full volume. There are distortions. Should give 5 if the device does not struggle at full volume. Can play it around 80 or 90 percent volume which is not loud enough if the space is big. ULT option is great depending on the song as you will loss highs which is understandable because of the trade off for better base. Need to frequently press ULT button.
