Good light saw for pruning and infrequent felling

Bought this saw awhile ago and just pulled it out when my gas saw failed to start. Though we maxed out the extensions with 100' of 12ga cord, the saw never whimpered and the breakers were happy. Went through two fills of bar oil that afternoon cutting up two standing dead black walnuts and the saw did a great job. Would recommend this saw for light duty.

SWJ701E has put my woodsy plots under control.

For now, the ability to make short work of fallen limbs will save a great deal of energy and time. Felling trees is clearly an option. After reading the manual carefully and highlighting the chain-tightening procedure, my SWJ701E 18-inch chainsaw and I had a great pre-dusk trial run. The power and handling were immediately apparent. Great tool and a great price! #GOWITHJOE

Fantastic saw

This saw has loads of power, quiet, reliable, and smooth. However, the handle placement is slightly odd and uncomfortable and makes it hard to cut perfectly straight after the chain is worn a little.

Great electric saw

I attached this saw to my portable saw mill and it cut up several board feet of lumber from logs on my property. It did amazing and never had any issues. Really beats trying to keep a gas chainsaw running and so much quieter! I like the brake feature so the chains stops immediately when the switch is released.

Awesome saw

Great chainsaw for the money. Works as good as a gas saw. Have cut large and small logs and glides through easily!
