Cotton Blanket washing problems

I ordered this blanket as it was cotton with a lovely pattern and color, choosing brown. After it arrived I read the washing instructions; Cold water wash only, and delicate to dry in the dryer. I suspect it will shrink to not fit the bed if washed in cold water. Also, it needs to be washed by itself, leading me to suspect the colors will run. The corners were not trimmed and finished nicely such that they are a heavy pointy edge. Sadly returning it.

Rough

The blanket is thin so perfect for al season. However, this blanket is not comfortable. The blanket is very rough and feels like you’re getting scrubbed with sand paper. Washed a few times in hopes that it would soften but that hasn’t helped. I wouldn’t recommend this blanket if you want comfort.
