This isn't your run of the mill tire inflator. Compared to what you find in the trunk of your car Sylvania really pulled out all the stops to add features to their Rapid Portable Tire Inflator. From a digital screen to automatic shutoff, I'm quite impressed with what Sylvania has done with this. *Note: I was provided a free sample in order to conduct a review, though this does not affect my opinion of the device itself. Design: 4.8 out of 5 Very well thought out design, I was quite impressed. On the top you have a large screen and a power button, with a knob that adjusts the pressure you want to set the inflator to. Click the knob in to switch between different measures such as PSI, kPa, and BAR. Other than that you have a button to turn on a light, which can come in handy at night. The back is where I was thoroughly impressed, however. On the back of the inflator you have a cutout for various tips, including one for sports balls, presta valve bike tires, and a nozzle for toys. It's powered with a "cigarette-style" 12V plug, which is good for universality though it would've been cool to have a regular outlet plug since I have that in my vehicle as well. But the best part is that the cord winds into the machine itself, making it VERY easy to keep in one piece. There's a little knob that flips over to turn the crank and wind up the power cord, and the air hose has a cubby as well. I can't tell you how many times I've had issues winding up the cord on other vehicles' inflators, which looked super ugly and were a pain to put back. If i were to nit-pick on design, I'd say the materials were a bit meh, just the plastic makes it feel a bit cheap but the price is right. Features: 5 out of 5 Out of the line of tire inflators Sylvania has, this one is the fastest, with a 3.5min inflation on regular tires from 0 to 35 PSI. Even on my Bronco's larger off-road tires I was able to inflate from 25 to 34 PSI in about 2.5min which is pretty good, and even usable for inflating tires after an off-road excursion in a pinch since it can stay on and working for up to 15min which is nice. Being able to fill bike tires, balls and toys is an added bonus, though I didn't try out these features. The screen is really nice and easy to read, and it's really cool to just set a value to inflate to since there's no guess work. Lastly the built-in gauge is pretty accurate, it inflated to 34 PSI as I asked and that matched my handheld gauge that I keep in the car along with the vehicle built-in gauge. Overall I find the feature set to be perfect for the price point. Packaging: 4 out of 5 The package is super simple and very snugly fits the inflator and the few accessories that come with it. It also comes with gloves and some tire caps which is nice I suppose, though I didn't really think of either as something that I'd be super worried about needing when I have a flat or need to fill a tire. The overall device is a bit on the large side so while the packaging is nice it doesn't fit as well in the small spaces of my 2-door bronco, which is really the only big fault I have with this inflator. Conclusion: 4.5 out of 5 I really like this inflator, I will definitely have it in my vehicle as a backup. The design is clean and simple, the features are robust, and the inflation time is good for what it's made to do. If you're looking for an inflator that does it all I highly recommend it. I would definitely buy it if given the chance.

I loved this tire inflator! It does work fast to inflate tires. The cut off feature is a plus because you can set the pressure you want and when it reaches that pressure, it will safely shut off. It also gas a nice light on it to see in the dark. It also has a nice cord roll-up feature also that keeps the cord from getting a shortage in it. Overall, it's a great air pump.

First things first, the size of this thing is amazing, it is so compact! It fits right in our suitcase to take with us on vacation to blow up all of our kids ridiculous blowup things like pool floats and balls and Lord only knows what else. Not only that, but you can do it in record time which is always appreciated with toddlers that don't have any patience! It also does a phenomenal job at inflating our bike tires quickly since for some reason one of our bikes the air comes out of the tire much quicker than the rest. And let me tell you what, if you have this thing with you whether it be on the road or at a park or on vacation, you will be the hero of the group because no one really realizes how much they need this thing until they're in need of something to blow something up quickly! We have saved people at the beach and public parks and we've even made some kids happy on vacation, so this thing is pretty awesome and the carrying case is the icing on the cake. It even has a light on it to help in situations when you're in the dark and need to blow something up, so they really have thought of everything with this one. I would highly recommend this rapid inflator!

The tire inflator is compact and portable. It fits in the back of my Jeep Cherokee under the trunk mat. It is easy to setup and can be setup in less than a minute. Takes a few mins to add the air to the tire but the process is quick compared to other air pumps that I've tried that are similar in size. It isn't too loud but at the same time isn't silent. I'd recommend this air pump for emergencies or once in a while usage. I've used it for my bike as well no problem.

Meh not impressed for the money
Cheaply made and not accurate when inflating to a selected psi. I chose 35 psi and machine said it was done but it was really 33 psi. Power on button is difficult to maneuver. Cheap plastic.
