The quality and detailing are

The quality and detailing are both great. They look great with dark cuffed blue jeans and they definitely turn heads. My only issue is that I am a 12 and according to the size guide, the boots run bigger but I ordered a 12 anyway however the boots I got ran small and I should have ordered a 13 but I couldn’t return them as they were final sale.

Get these - true to size, zero break in

I purchased the Boston Boot in Honey, and they arrived a day before my trip to Las Vegas. They fit 100% true to size for me (I'm a 9 in sneakers, ordered a 9 in this boot). This boot is so comfortable, I wore it right out of the box to the airport, and spent an entire weekend in them. We did a TON of walking that first day and my feet never hurt once. I'd say these require 0 days of "breaking in". Also, this was the most compliments I've gotten on a shoe EVER. Family, friends, and strangers told me how much they liked them and how unique they were. I personally love that you can dress them up or down. I wore them with a suit, and I wore them with a T-shirt, and some button downs in between.

Love love love

Super comfortable. I have several Tafts and I feel like the leather uppers on these might. E the softest of them all. Love the chunky sole and the tweed. Recently wore these out to a concert and got several compliments - even from what I’m guessing was someone from Gen Z. Which, as someone who is middle-aged felt pretty cool, lol.

Beautiful Boots

I love these boots! They are beautiful, and not uncomfortable to wear. There are two reasons they get 4 stars: (1) Taft's branding led me to believe they were still handmade in Spain, but these were not. (2) I wish they had a bit of a wider toe box, I have appreciated shoes moving more toward the barefoot toe box style.

Tweed & Leather Go Together

The Boston has an old-school New England vibe that makes it the perfect fall boot. The tweed and leather combine perfectly, and the wingtip design brings the materials together with curves that mix the materials a little better than a cap toe would. I am a huge fan of lug soles, and despite the thickness of the sole, there wasn't a break-in period. They felt great the first time I put them on. They fit TTS (for me), which makes it easy to pick my normal size. (I have a low-ish instep and a regular D-width). I've only worn them twice so far, but both times several people noticed and commented on them. These are definitely one of my go-to boots for this fall, and I just ordered two pairs in two other colors to complement them.
