OK...

Put this on under my ski helmet on a cold day-- wind whipped right through and I was frigid. Also made my goggles slide around a fair amount and I was constantly adjusting them. There are definitely better balaclavas for skiing on the market.

Warm

I bought this because I needed something to keep my face warm when I'm out running. It's warm and soft, but it is a bit too snug for my head and face. I end up having to tug on it a few times. I would recommend going up a size.

Lightweight and warm

I bought this balaclava because I needed something that could keep my head warm but not cover my face too much when I didn't want it to. What I love is I can cover my nose and mouth on the downhill and push the fabric under my chin for the uphill.
