A bit longer and heavier than I had hoped, but slim

I should preface that I'm only 5" so most things are too big and heavy for me anyway. I was really hoping the microbyte would be the solution. However, It's quite heavy-- and that has to do with the back compartment that supports your laptop when fully opened. As a comparison my 28L mountain co-op bag is significantly lighter. It also, as others have said, hits my bum which isn't terrible, but it doesn't sit on the middle of my back, like it should and because of this, I find that the weight distribution is off ... this just might be because of my height. The gender specific straps are nice and the slimness is also great. I was really worried by other reviewers who made it seem like you couldn't fit anything in the bag! It holds my 13" laptop, textbook, a couple full file folders, makeup bag, and with room to spare. Sure, it is not ideal for long nature hikes where you need gear (why would you want a TSA approved bag for that anyway?!) or want to pack a change of clothes (although I would venture to say that you could fit a pair of shoes in there)... but perfect for business casual look. If I had a chance to try it out before purchasing I would have kept looking for something a bit smaller...

Awesome backpack for my laptop!

Absolutely love this bag! My laptop fits perfectly in the sleeve. It's very comfortable to wear and and has plenty of room for other items. Not only is it comfortable and roomy but it's actually a good looking bag. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a medium sized backpack to stuff their laptop in or to use outdoors. It is good for both those simply using it for school or the outdoors. Hope you enjoy it!

Great size, NO WATER BOTTLE HOLDER

This is a great size pack for frequent travelers. I use this for business and travel regularly through airports. It is lightweight and durable. The only complaint is that it will not hold a water bottle.

Small pack, no water bottle holder

Great pack, but lacks a water bottle holder. Bought this to use for college and it can barely hold my laptop, charger, and a notebook. Forget trying to carry textbooks in this backpack. For a commuter who only carries a few things, it would be a good bag.

I wished I would of purchased this sooner.

I wish I would of purchased this sooner for my dad. He was on the search for a backpack that was good quality, reasonable price, not too bulky and extravagant and that it would fit everything he carried around on a daily basis. This backpack did the job. When he got it in the mail he was walking around like a little kid showing everyone his new backpack and quickly put his belongings in there.
