We have the bed and the pillow. They are great. We wish we had gotten the soft instead of firm bed but it is great.

worth it at twice the price!
I was skeptical, especially at the price, but no one will get this pillow away from me after these last 2 weeks! It's amazing. I could probably stop lifting weights since this thing feels like 40lbs when I'm making the bed, but the comfort and sleep I'm getting are worth twice the price! It is amazing, and has me wondering about checking out the mattress.

Perfection
This pillow is amazing. The 2 removable inserts are slightly different thicknesses, so you can actually choose between 4 height levels - no inserts (my pick), insert #1 only, insert #2 only, or both inserts. I'm a side & stomach sleeper, and it keeps my neck straight & supported in both positions, so my daytime neck & shoulder stiffness is gone. I've never spent almost $300 on a pillow before, but I think it was a good investment, and a good night's sleep is priceless.

Too thin for me and very large but comfy
I really like this pillow, but it is too thin for me. It also seems very large--with my shoulder against it, there is still probably a hand's width to the top of the pillow. It's the same dimensions as conventional pillows, but most people scrunch those up so the effective size is smaller. I was able to fold a small towel to insert inside the pillow to make it higher, but that seems dumb for such an expensive pillow. Purple doesn't sell extra inserts--I'd have to buy another pillow just for its inserts. I've been tempted, but haven't because of the additional cost and size. For some people this could be the ideal pillow, but it wasn't for me unfortunately.

Not for me
It was unique and seemed comfortable at first. Then after a few nights I was getting neck pain. I think it's great as a side sleeper but I am also a back sleeper. So when I was on my back, I felt it was a little too high which resulted to neck pain.

Back sleeping must
I didn't know I was a back sleeper until I tried this pillow.

Not worth the price
I do like my pillow but it does NOT stay cool and is heavy to try to lift and turn the pillow to a cooler side in the middle of the night. Also, when I went to wash the zippered case, much to my dismay, white dust/crumbs fell out of the case and made a huge mess! I then realized that the grid polymer part of the pillow was breaking down! (I hope my Purple mattress isn't doing this! I wish I could unzip the mattress cover to check!) One of the pillows also had black spots on them, which I was concerned might be mold. This is after only using the pillow for approximately three months! I contacted Purple and they claimed that the grid cells sometimes sticks to themselves. Therefore, they use a powder coating to keep each cell open. This powder is a non-toxic polyethylene which is a food contact grade plastic. They claim it is no different than what is found in baby sunscreen or powder cosmetics. Most of the powder is removed in the assembly process, but the powder they miss is usually so small and few that it meets the standards for clean room classification and are considered safe to all persons, including those who have respiratory sensitivities or asthma (based on levels outlined by the EPA). The lady in customer care also didn't think the black spots were mold but scuff marks that could have happened anywhere between assemblage and their way to us. She claimed it is close to impossible for the Purple grid to grow mold due to its material. She never addressed the breakdown of the grid polymer but did apologize and sent me new pillows immediately. Unfortunately, I am not confident that these new pillows won't have the same issues with the grid polymer breaking down again. And, as stated earlier, these pillows do not stay cool. It is frustrating because they were not cheap to buy... I would have given less stars but the company did send me new pillows.

Still going strong after so long....
I bought this about 7 years ago when it was only about $120 versus the over $200, and even at that price, it is worth it. I have 2, because I ended up buying another for my camper. Helps my neck pain.
