Pretty watch, bought during sale, my first mechanical watch, stunning on my wrist. Now Timex tells the time all the time!

Great watch, quite overpriced.

Really decent manual winding mechanical field watch. No date window, ~38 hour power reserve. Seems to run a little fast but pretty accurate. I’m torn on the rating. I waited and got this at half price and it’s a 5-star watch at that price. At the MSRP it’s really not. You can spend about the same amount of money and get a more accurate, reliable automatic movement in a Seiko 5, and maybe some other brands too.

I’m impressed!

Let me say this watch is a 4.5 score but I rated it as a 5 because it has no business being rated as a 3.8 as it stands right now. I really like this watch! I had been waiting for Timex to make a watch like this, a mechanical watch with a sapphire crystal, and (fairly decent) quality parts. I will say, I wish all 3 of the hands were just a fraction longer. As for the mechanical movement, I’m not sure what Timex has specified to be the tolerance, but I’m generally finding that it’s inside 13 seconds a day for mine. Which that is decent, seeing that this has never been pitched as a COSC certified watch (I probably do wish they would’ve gone with a slightly higher tier movement, but that’s just a suggestion, not a complaint).
