Damaged package no one contacted me to tell me.

This watch ordered online was a Christmas gift that was set to be picked up at my local Zmacy’s store. As I was tracking the package, I saw that it was delivered to the store on 12/22. I ordered the watch on 12/12. At any rate on Christmas Eve I figured I ‘d pick the watch up, gift wrap it and have it ready by Christmas morning. When I did not receive a message that I could oicj the package up, I contacted a colleague at Macy’s .com. To make a long story short, the package arrived on 12/22 at my local Macy’s damaged and no one contacted me in regards to this mishap. Had I known, I would have had time to go to Macy’s to find a comparable watch. In addition, when I spoke with a colleague at Macy’s .com, she could not tell me the name of the dept. at my local Macy’s so that I could at least look for the dept. that handles in store pick ups. Then, she could only give me the main number at Macy’s. With an automated phone system and not knowing the name if the dept. I needed to speak to, I was at a loss as to what to do. So, I asked to speak with a Suoervisor and the colleague hung up on me. Then, I decided to call Customer Service. It was then that I learned the package I needed was damaged. I asked if there were any comparable watches at my local Macy’s and once again, after a long wait, the colleague hung up on me.this situation is unacceptable. I plan to close my Macy’s account and no longer shop at Macy’s. I am livid because I found out the day before Christmas that the watch I ordered was not available at the store.Furthermore, I had called several times to confirm the package was in transit and was assured it would be ready for pickup on 12/23. Now, I have no gift to give a family member on Christmas morning… I tried everything to correct what I feel is Macy’s fault to no avail…

This is a very good watch on the lower level of the Tissot family. This timepiece is a step above Bulova and I've found no negative reviews regarding this watch. Time will tell the quality of it's performance!
