Not happy with substandard pan.

First time to use it, the instructions say to always use only low and medium heat. I was putting water on to boil for pasta. After 45 minutes on medium the water was hot but not boiling yet. Finally after an hour the water boiled. Then when I poured the water out after boiling pasta, the pan was starting to become discolored with rainbow colors on the bottom and had marks where I had stirred with A WOODEN SPOON. After washing the pot by hand, the discoloration is still there, the scratches are still there and there is a line where the water level was that won't wash off. After one use, used as instructed. How can you make a pot that can't be used on med-high heat???? This pan is going back.

Tramontina is the best!

If you are in the market for stainless steel cookware, only buy Tramontina! It's extremely well made, triple-clad, oven and stove usable, even heating surfaces, and cleans fairly easily. The 3qt saucepan is an ideal size and it is already a workhorse in my kitchen.

What Happened to the Delivery?

The order went through okay, but I didn't know when or how they were going to attempt to deliver the item, and it wasn't reported, even through the tracking number, and I wasn't contacted. Next thing I know they sent it back to the warehouse of origin and then, it was sold out from under me, and then I tried again, and it was "Sold Out" on line. Next thing, I went to the closest Macy's, and they don't carry it in the store, apparently. I spoke to a "customer service" representative for the on-line order, and asked, how can this be made right, and he said I could go into the store and talk to them about whether it would be available at that store or any other stores, and that he didn't have access to that information (whether it was at any other stores). I wasted my time with a trip to the store. I ended up finding it on Wayfair and it was delivered just like they said it would be! Yay for Wayfair, however it did cost more, by almost 20%. So I guess that's what you give up. If you want to get a good deal, it'll potentially cost you more time, inconvenience and money in the end.

Haven't used this yet but it's heavy and the finish and quality seem excellent. Can't wait to use this.
