I'm picky about everything, including luggage. I ordered 5 carryons and this was in my top two. I have the medium checked Platinum Elite and love it for its optimal layout and useful features. I can fit my typical overnight business trip items in this carryon, but nothing more. The standard version has small front pockets but the business version has more usable front pocket space and holds a laptop without tipping over. I especially love the straps that hold everything in and have built in pockets for small items like jewelry, cables, or underwear. The materials are beautiful and distinctly nicer that the VersaPack line (zippers, exterior and interior fabric, handles, wheels, straps). I appreciate the recessed wheels because the suitcase is sturdier, especially when front-heavy with a laptop. This design also provides more packing room. I could fit more inside this bag compared to a Samsonite with the same dimensions because this one has a better use of space (these zippers are also smoother). I chose to keep the VersaPack because I'm an overpacker and the extra few inches allowed me to add another outfit or a light jacket. This does expand but I couldn't fit much more when I Al's had a laptop in the front pocket (1 shirt). I usually check my carryon luggage and if I will have to carry my bag on the plane, I use one that is lighter. This bag is heavier. Elegant, thoughtfully designed, less expensive than B&R and Tumi. If you bring a laptop with you, the business version is a better option. In the front pocket I can fit a laptop, notebook, travel white noise machine, glasses, charging plugs and cable. Things I would change: make it 2" bigger, narrower handle to make it easier to fit all trolly straps, add sleeve to slip over handle on another suitcase, built-in lock, and exterior hook to carry a water bottle.
