Excellent Weekend/Gym Bag

I have been using this bag for about a month and overall I am quite happy with it. The build quality and material seem great and though it has only been about a month I have no doubt the bag will last like the other Travelpro bags I have and use many times through the year. The bag has plenty of room for clothes and a couple pairs of shoes (depending on style/size). It has a fair amount of compartments and I like the padded tablet/laptop sleeve. I used it as my carry on for a one trip, and while it works as one I prefer a wheeled bag. I really enjoy it as a weekend bag and have replaced my duffel bag with it. It also works great for a gym bag. I like to be able to store my shoes within the bag in their removable compartment. I believe anyone would be happy using the bag for a weekend trip or gym bag.

Platinum elite Drop Bottom

This drop bottom weekender is very versatile, well made and looks great. What you would expect from TravelPro products. I love that one bag can morph into 2. Zipping off the bottom section if you do not need it is a huge plus, and the bottom of the top part will not wear out with the bumpers on the bottom! Very versatile. I would love to see a couple more pockets built in to the outside and inside to make it even better for people trying to be organized. Of course you can always use your own separate packing cubes as well. The bag is light weight and has a large opening that allows for larger items such as bulky items including helmets, boots, hats, etc.

Great for weekend adventures

This is a great weekend bag. Heading to see friends for the weekend? Quick getaway to the beach? Standby bag that is ready for almost anything? This bag is THAT bag. When overhead compartments are not a concern and you're just tossing things in the back of your car. This is your bag. It's a more sophisticated duffel bag with the platinum elite lines quality and details. Because of the quality, it does have structure and shape, though, it wouldn't be my first pick for airline travel. It will fit all of your outfits plus a few extras just in case. It is a huge bag. The best feature is the ability to make the bag smaller, larger or compartmented, if needed. This allows for even more flexibility to have the space you need. Or you could use that compartment to separate your shoes. On a recent trip I was able to get 2 pairs of sandals, a pair of heels, shower shoes and a pair of sneakers in the bottom of the bag. I had so many options and that's important when you over pack like I do. The padded compartment for your laptop is a great size. It has kept me from having to carry a separate laptop bag on trips. It's my new go to bag. My platinum elite spinner bags finally get to sit out road trips. I can't wait to use this bag some more.

Good, but not great all around tote

There is a lot to like about this weekender. It holds a surprisingly large quantitiy of clothing or items. It is well made with strong straps for shoulder or hand carrying. Something I didn’t use was the Drop-Bottom. Couldn’t decide to put dirty clothes there or just remove it for a smaller sized tote to carry on board while flying. I guess it could be used for toiletries, but I found it unnecessary. For short trips, I would have preferred there be a padded inside or outside compartment for electronics. In summary, a nice tote that could use some tweaks for functionality.

My new favorite quick-trip bag

I love the design of this bag. It has a separate compartment on the bottom that can be used for shoes, electronics, toiletries - anything you want separate from your clothes. OR it can be removed to make the bag a little smaller, OR the main bag bottom can be opened to make it one larger space. Very versatile! The top can be unsnapped for wider packing / unpacking access, and then snapped for more compact carrying. The bag has a slot so it can be slid over the handle of your roller-bag as well, in case you’re on a bigger trip. It even has a padded laptop compartment in case you don’t want to carry a separate bag. The shoulder strap is padded and slip-proof. The material is flexible yet sturdy, and it came with a zipper repair kit.
