Doesnt spray in a mist

I normally wear Versace Bright Crystal, but decided to buy a bottle of the Absolu because it's a stronger scent. The perfume smells nice (I still prefer the original), but it's spraying in a straight line, not as a mist. I'm not sure if I got a defective bottle or if this is normal with this version of Bright Crystal? I'll probably stick to the original from now on. If I bought this on sale, I wouldn't complain- but at full price, it should function properly.
