Not Quality Leather
These are a leather show with some sort of likely polymer/leather fiber coating over the leather. As such, it is prone to damage, and the black smooth coating peels off of the great leather underneath. Normally, with leather you can condition out a scrtah, but not a chuck of coating that peels off. I wore these one day in an office setting and the toe is already sliced and peeling. I emailed Vionic about a refund or a replacement and have not yet heard back. It's a shame about the quality of the leather because they are very comfortable shoes. For the price, I expected better quality.

Good purpose. One shoe is starting to tear on the sides, the side where I have developed bone spurs and more pain. I may end up having to get better supported shoes- different material but same support.

Great shoe except for the strap
This Mary Jane is so comfy and looks professional. It would be perfect except for the strap, which is way too long. Even adding an extra insole to raise up my arch, when I try to attach the strap, the end is past the Velcro and nearly dragging on the floor. If I attach it on the Velcro it looks very silly sticking up and doing nothing to keep my foot in place while walking. This may just be a problem for large sizes (I got a 12W) but unfortunate. I like the rest of the shoe so much that I may try to alter the strap myself by adding more Velcro.
