This whole room heater has a thermostatic temperature control knob. Select your desired heat setting with a simple turn of the dial. Vornado's signature Vortex heat circulation then distributes the warm air throughout the room. Unlike typical heaters whose hot coils create areas of extreme heat directly around the heater, the VH200 outputs a steady current of heat that envelopes the room in comfortable warmth. Short Life Span

I had 2 of the VH 200s. They do everything well that Vornado touts about the model. I used them both for 2 years, approximately 6-8 hours a day, during my region’s cold months (mid-November to mid-February). Was totally satisfied . . . until, 1 of them stopped working completely near the end of its second year. Before I gave that one to the junk man, I plugged in the second one just to be sure. Nope, red “on” signifier wouldn’t come on. So I tried another outlet, nope no response. So, my bottom line is it’s a good product when it works. If you don’t care if you have to buy new heaters every third year, go for it. I however am done with Vornado products.

Works great, until is doesn't.

Our bedroom is above our garage. This unit has helped keep the chill away during the winter months. Nice and powerful. We frequently have to turn it down so it doesn't overheat the room. However, I have had two of these. One day ...they just stop working. Fan stops. Heating element doesn't turn on. And these were both WELL within the 5-year warranty. Vornado sent me a replacement for free in 2023. That one just stopped working. So I just re-initiated communications with the company about a replacement.

Other occasion to buy:The best heater I have ever owned. It warms up the whole room. My son says it makes his room comfy and warm, when the weather is very cold. I highly recommend it.

Short life span

I used this heater for one season and loved it, hence the second star. Then following season it worked for about 2 weeks then it would not heat or blow after much patience and troubleshooting. I put it away not wanting to part with it just yet. A couple months later to my delight it started working again but only for 3 uses. This year I have tried to get it to started again and nothing. Won't heat or blow. Power light comes on but that is it. I read reviews extensively before purchasing this and decided it was best option and in mid price range. I regret that now as I have other heaters much older and cheaper that still do the job. I am very disappointed and have avoided this brand since first issues with it.

Misleading product

I bought 2 of these heaters when our furnace went out, super excited they mentioned heating up a room for a decent price. The heat can only be felt right in front of it, doesn't heat up my small room no matter how long it runs.

DO NOT BUY FIRE HAZARD

i bought this heater six weeks ago based on positive reviews. we used six times. the last time we used it, the heater shorted out and tripped the circuit breaker. We were lucky there was no fire. when i unplugged and lifted it, a small metal piece fell out; a second was lose inside the fan. On their site, there are four versions of this heater fan. three have been recalled but not this one. Yet. DO NOT BUY
