Works great on induction cook top
I bought the stainless steel version so it would work on my new induction cooktop. It seems that the handle is slightly bent to allow the spinner inside the pot to cover more area. The thing works great. Just about every kernel pops consistently, and the owners manual says that if you’re gonna use it at least once a week that you just need to wipe it out and don’t actually need to wash it. When I use it on the induction stove, it’s almost like all the kernels pop at the same time. It only takes a couple of minutes, maybe four for a whole pot, of stirring at a slow, consistent pace. I’m happy with the purchase.

Wabash Valley Farms Stainless Steel Whirley Pop
Purchased this online from Macy’s. It makes great popcorn but the box was opened and taped together when it arrived and it has a dent in the side. The outside shipping box was not damaged. The dent makes it a little harder to turn. I hate having to return items so will keep it but won’t order from Macy’s again. The reflection on the pan made including a photo not possible. The review is more about Macy’s since they sent it out this way.
Recommend it, but the lighter weight one is better
I've purchased one of these before and we loved it. We needed a second one (not because there was anything wrong with the first one) and were surprised to see the heavier metal and figured it was a design or quality improvement. While in most products the heavier metal and more polished look would be an improvement, it really isn't with this one. The original is lighter weight metal and the latches stay latched while trying to dump out the popcorn. The new design is, of course, heavier and the latches don't hold well. The top slides out of place when trying to dump the popcorn and it's not as easy to maneuver. It still works better than any other way we've popped corn, and we eat a lot of it. It was bought as a gift and was not thrilled that it was shipped in the original box only and got some serious dents, but overall, I'd recommend it if you can't find the older lightweight mode.

Even better than the theater
This makes the best popcorn! It's crunchy and just a little Flavacol or popcorn salt in with the kernels makes it taste even better than movie-theater popcorn. No butter needed! The pot itself is thick, high-quality stainless steel and the wooden handles are a nice touch. I know I will be using weekly for a long time to come.

I love this popper! Not only because it is stainless steel, but because that unlike its competitor, the pop Smith, that which is also a stove top popcorn popper, that the Whirley pop offers a 25 year warranty! Pop Smith, only a one-year warranty! That popper may not be aluminum and be all made of stainless steel, but that they don’t have a 25 year warranty. They have a one-year warranty! Wabash Valley Farms, manufactures of the Whirley pop stove top popcorn popper, my favorite popper in the world, has a 25 year warranty! Top Smith, a one year warranty. We have some unfair competition, but that they only want a one-year warranty on their product! That’s not fair! I would like to see us move away from aluminum and go to all stainless steel and furthermore, have different colors, particularly red, without any aluminum. The Whirley pop is number one! Wabash Valley Farms, is number one!
So much healthier than microwave
Love this popcorn popper....well made and simple to use...with organic popcorn and oil, very healthy as well!
