Poor workmanship wobbling chairs

Mortice and tenon joints need help.

While the bar height chairs are beautiful, we had a problem with the crossbar fittings, all of which were pre-cut to fit, supposedly. Several crossbars/tenons were cut too large to fit the mortice cuts in the legs. One leg actually BROKE (full fracture) when my husband tried to fit the two together as instructed. We had to glue the leg, and it is holding, but we were disappointed at the careless carpentry. Otherwise, the chairs are beautiful, and, for the price, fair value. Far costlier chairs were much sturdier, but we are unsure we will keep the tall counter height and so opted for these for now.
