Beautiful necklace

I purchased this item during the black friday sale last week and i’ve been wearing it like any normal chain. but today when I was moving the clasp to the back of my neck, and i guess there was a thin spot and the gold snapped and the chain broke. I paid good money for this piece and it broke within a week of wearing it. I didn’t tug or pull and the chain snapped. I really would like to see how macys will work with me on replacing this chain with a necklace that is sturdy and solid to wear like a normal necklace should be. I understand it’s thin, but it shouldn’t be so thin that it snaps like it did.

This chain is gorgeous but way too delicate. I purchased as a gift. The clasp snapped off of the chain the moment I tried to put it on the recipient. I have never been so embarrassed and I have never seen gold snap that way. The links that connect the chain to the clasp are too thin and weak to make a long lasting piece of jewelry.
