We set up the Avalon in our

We set up the Avalon in our backyard to host a small glamping party, and it was the star of the night. With fairy lights strung across the interior and floor cushions scattered around, it became a cozy lounge space where everyone hung out well into the night. A few guests even asked if they could stay over because it looked more inviting than their hotel. The canvas walls block out enough sound to make it peaceful, but you can still hear just enough of nature outside. It’s both a tent and a conversation piece, and we’re already planning more events with it.

The only downside is the weight, but honestly, you trade portability for durability.

We bought the 13' for hot tent

We bought the 13' for hot tent camping in the winter. It comfortably fits two adults on cots, two large dogs and a wood stove. We have used it for over 3 years now and been in high winds (60+ mph), snow, rain and sub zero temperatures. Every experience was completely comfortable and low stress. Setup is relatively quick and easy. Simple enough for just one person to do the job. And the quality has us believing this tent will become a family heirloom. Everywhere we have been we are the envy of other campers. If you are considering this tent, do your self a favor and just do it. Our only regret is that we didn't get ours sooner.

We have been spending our

We have been spending our entire warm season (4-5 months of the year) in our 16.5' Avalon, and decided to upgrade this year to the Optimus at 23' diameter. Holy Wow. What a palace. We have been obsessedly in love with our smaller tent, and have found that all our wishes have come through with the larger size - including the premium zippers on the door screens, (the thinner zipper on the screen door failed by the end of our first summer with the 16.5') Having THREE doors? Are you kidding? So much air flow, so many possibilities. And two stove jacks offers the same flexibility. Currently we have it set up at our summer river spot with our king bed, bureaus, record player, music instruments, etc...and there is still Plenty of room for yoga/movement. The only thing I will say, is that I don't know if its possible to raise this tent without two strong individuals - for the sole reason of the center pole, and lifting all that tent weight in order to raise it straight up. It was imperative that I help my husband with this one, and he routinely sets up the 16.5' all by himself in about 30 minutes. The Big Top tent here took a Lot longer for our first time. But, do not let that deter you - it is absolutely, 110% worth it.

We bought this tent as a

We bought this tent as a replacement to our last tent that was a 12 person Instant tent. The space was plenty but it did not hold up to the wind. We had it strapped to my truck to keep the walls from caving in on us while inside. You could hear the rain fly flapping in the wind at night which made for a terrible nights sleep. After replacing some parts because they broke form the wind the tent never was the same. So we decided to make the investment and get the canvas tent from Whiteduck. We got the 20' Avalon Bell Tent and for a family of 5 we have more than enough room plus our belongings. It has already held up to 20+ winds and it is quiet inside compared to our last tent. The kids enjoy the extra room inside! We have nothing but good things to say about it so far! One minor issue is our front door zipper, if it comes all the way out it will take at least 2 people to get it zipped back up. It does weigh more than what you think it would so double lifting is a must! Rebar stakes are included which adds to the rigidity of the tent and keeping it sturdy in the wind. All in all this tent is well worth the investment!

This tent is not only spacious

This tent is not only spacious and reliable, but absolutely stunning. After I got the hang of it, it was easy enough to set up, and offered plenty of room for me to spread out with all of my gear during a few weekend trips and I'm so looking forward to using this tent for longer expeditions, which is where I think it will really shine. It's the perfect base camp and if you're looking to step up the comfort level of your weekend camping, this is the way to go!

My wife and I purchased an

My wife and I purchased an Avalon 16.5ft tent as a "decorum" tent to use while LARPing. Bell tents are considered decorum so they can be utilized inside of the fair grounds during large scale events where immersion is required. We couldn't be happier with the quality, the size, and breathability of the tent. This is an expensive tent but if you are of the mindset "buy once, cry once", this is the tent for you.
