Hands down the best portable AC on the market!
Before purchasing my first portable AC I read reviews for days, and it was very confusing and misleading to say the least! There are so many similar models and so many similar reviews and claims. I purchased an LG first and was let down, had to return it, My next try was a Frigidaire, and had the same poor results. I came across the Forbes top portable AC rankings and they ranked the Whynter ARC-1230WN #1, and WOW, were they right!! Not only is this the best portable AC, it’s the best AC I’ve ever had! It will FREEZE you out if you desire! Or see the temperature on auto and it runs to perfection! So silent and smooth when it’s on auto, at times you cannot even tell if it’s running! Look no further! If you’re in the market for a portable AC, this is leaps and bounds above the rest! Easy setup, have it running in minutes! Enjoy the comfort of the coldest portable AC on the market! This suka is cold!!!!!
Bought this for big upstairs bedroom that is usually way hotter then the rest of the house and it cools it off immediately. Highly recommend this one.

The very best Portable AC unit I've seen !!!
Model ARC-1230WN was easy to set-up/install. I works so much better than a cheap generic portable unit that I had bought. You Whynter unit runs so quiet and literally trippled how fast my room cooled when I had a competition model. Whynter truly makes the very best Portable AC Units !! LOVE IT!

Excellent Cooling and Build Quality
First item I will discuss is energy efficiency, I am using it to cool a 800 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment with West facing windows. I like it cooler than most < 70 degrees and I only run the unit after I return from work in the afternoon when the temp is 76 - 80 degrees inside. I leave the unit run at night and by morning it is usually low 60’s in main living area and mid 60’s in bedroom. So it cools better than advertised. After reading a lot of reviews and looking at different units I chose this brand based on consensus reviews and a better build quality than competitors. Energy efficiency, having never owned a portable ac before and based on competent reviews it should be energy efficient but considering I’m cooling more space it’s probably a wash. I’ve had no issues with this unit Overall I was so impressed with this brand I bought a smaller unit that I installed at my parent’s house in an upstairs bedroom. Cannot complain about either unit.

Cools down a large space
This AC has a strong blower. It definitely cools a bedroom down pretty fast and can keep the front half of my apartment at a decent temperature.
