Unfortunately these boots are only good for someone with very skinny legs and calfs, the foot bed also runs small. Otherwise the leather quality and construction looks very nice.
Don't buy "Macy's Marketplace" nightmare return
The boots were great. Very high quality and looked fantastic, but the shaft was too high for me. Also, these are shipped direct from a third party. Macy's calls it "Macy's Marketplace". Absolute nightmare to return. I brought them into a store and it took over 45 minutes as the associates did not know how to process. Ultimately, they could not print a receipt and said I needed to wait for the boots to be received by the third party and that company would process the return. I wonder if I'll ever see my money? Do not buy through Macy's go directly to the Vintage Foundry. The buyer will beware from now on.

I’m a 7.5 with a bit of a wide foot. I love these boots. I’ve only worn them around the house. they remind me of a workboot type of shoe. you might need to wear a pair of thick socks. my ankle socks kept slipping. I got the black, but they Almost look like a deep, deep navy. I prefer that more because I wear Jean a lot. very happy overall. don’t think I’ll have any problems with aching feet. they just feel like they need to be broken in a bit, and im a bit worried about slipping because there’s not really traction on the bottom of the boot. would buy these in a maroon or brown too with the same neat color hue.
