Wouldn’t recommend unless major improvements were
I received this from Influenster to test and honestly, it was pretty disappointing.. the design is cute and looked fun at first but performance and quality just wasn’t there. The controls are really hard to manage , it either shoots straight up or crashes instantly , with almost no in between. The battery life is extremely short and the charging time feels super long compared to how little playtime you get from it. It’s also a lot more fragile than I expected; a couple of soft crashes and it already showed signs of wear. The quality just isn’t what you’d expect it to be at all.

Small but mighty
Very hard to fly. My son was very excited maybe we didn’t do it right but it was a little hard to get it going. Very powerful tho I was surprised. The battery life lasted. For safety definitely use it outside.

Great toy!
Our kids, (even us adults) had an absolute BLAST with this! It took us a minute to figure out how to get it to stay flying, but discovered you have to walk with it as it goes! This thing has smashed the ground sooooo many times and still has not broke! I hated that it took 6 batteries for the controller, but the sonic is just a plug in charge! Comes with the charger also! It’s so quiet, and this thing goes SO high, it’s insane.

Pass on this one
Not a fan. I was excited to receive this for my kids to play with. Got allll the batteries in it (6 AA) and we got about 30 minutes with it. It hit the ground and was done. It was nice and quiet, but once that 30 minutes was over we couldn’t get it back in the air. Pretty disappointed.

Difficult controlling
I received the Sonic the Hedgehog flying helicopter by World Tech Toys to review. My kids were excited to try this toy. The sonic figure seems sturdy with nice details. Just had difficulty controlling it that my kids lost interest.

Fun outside toy
My boys absolutely loved this toy. Sonic is one of their favorite characters. Now this is not an inside toy I would say. It flys pretty high and at time can be a little hard to control. But once you get the hang of it it’s pretty neat. It lasted a while and was able to get several plays out of it before the batteries died. It fell a few times and didn’t break so I would say it’s pretty sturdy.

Cool Idea
It’s a pretty cool idea for a toy and I really wanted to like it but it was a miss for my kids and family. First, the battery life is not that long (just a few minutes) and it takes a quite a long time to fully charge. By the time that my kids got the hang of it, it ran out of battery. It’s also very unstable when flying, not ideal for outdoor use and definitely not for indoors where it easily flies into obstacles if not steered perfectly - which for kids, is a little challenging. Maybe this may be better suited for older kids.

Good quality
Fun Sonic toy that looks great and flies well after a little practice. It’s sturdy and has already survived a few crashes. Battery life is short (around 6 minutes), but still a unique and enjoyable toy for Sonic fans.
