best little rice cooker

this rice cooker does exactly as needed/expected. I like that it isn't confusing with too many buttons and options- just an on/off. for a 2 person household its the perfect size

Ideal for the basic rice cooker

We're not fancy people-- just needed a rice cooker to cook jasmine rice, and this is the ideal unit. Incredibly smooth cook, consistent after several uses so far (consistency is extremely important for me). Definitely recommend!

NHS-06 -- GREAT for bachelor life

My NHS-06 is great for a bachelor. One-touch operation -- when the rice is ready, it turns off. I put the rice into my dish (vegetables, meat, sauces) and enjoy! And the Zojirushi reputation should mean a long life. GREAT online recipes will help me make more enjoyable dishes. Thanks!

Don’t bother

I read this was one of the best brands of rice cookers. I didn’t much, so opted for the entry level one and it’s been a disappointment.

Love my Zoji!

Very happy

I cook rice often but my needs are very simple and I did not need anything fancy, just reliable. I was familiar with the Zojirushi brand from recipe forums and it was well-liked by ‘serious’ rice fans, and I can see why! I only needed the simplest model, but it is perfect for me; it cooks much faster than my old rice cooker and is much easier to clean. I like the Japanese rice cup too as it easily makes a ‘perfect portion’ without any fuss. The steaming function also makes great dumplings. Very happy with my choice!
