Best ever. Made in Germany. Accept no other !
I've tried countless corkscrews of all styles. Over the decades now, this particular one is THE best. Ever. For those who prefer this winged style, as I do. It is sturdy, operates very smoothly, the worm is long enough to center/get into the cork properly & the leverage is great. I used one of them for over 25 years before it came apart. So I can't complain about reliability ! There are many identical-seeming versions made by other manufacturers but this is the ONLY one I use - as long as they continue to make in Germany. The Chinese-made "versions" are simply not as good in any respect.

The screw assembly itself distinguishes it from lesser models with a sharp point, carefully designed flat auger curvature, and extra length to penetrate deep into any cork and bottle. With the extra thick frame and well designed levers and cogs, it provides a smooth, even action while removing corks. This is an investment in quality, life long product service, not a flimsy, inexpensive gadget soon to be broken or discarded because of broken corks and wine opening challenges. Life is too short to dig out a broken cork. Cheers!

Great Quality
I should have purchased this double lever corkscrew several years ago as it would have saved me from purchasing 3 cheap versions and having to throw them out. This is a very sturdy wine opener and the quality is evident.
