This heavy gauge, 18/10 stainless steel service for eight features matte and polished handles and a larger continental size. Set includes 5-piece place settings for eight, plus a 5-piece hostess set.Zwilling J.A. Henckels flatware is heavy gauge weight, produced from 18/10 stainless steel. The 18% chrome provides for maximum corrosion resistance and the 10% nickel gives each piece a brilliant finish. Other products that do not claim to be produced from 18/10 stainless steel or that use 18/0 stainless steel do not offer these benefits and can corrode in a short time of use. Provence features a perfect balance of mirror and frost accented design produced from high quality 18/10 stainless steel.

Beautiful combination of modern and traditional

On sale this 8-piece setting with serving pieces was a wonderful bargain. With 18/10 stainless the shine is unbelievable, and easily survives regular diswashing. This style made my husband and I both happy, even though I favor modern sleekness and he prefers colonial tradition. I love the blend of satin and shine. The knives in this set will do serious cutting as they are serated; the knife handles are heavily weighted and pleasant to hold. On the other hand the other setting pieces seem oddly lightweight and with short-ish handles. The variety of serving pieces are a wonderful addition. So, not 5-star but a beautiful set which we are putting to immediate daily use. My old 18/0 Oneida set was ready for the graveyard.

Still going strong after 10 years!

We purchased this set when we got married over 10 years ago, and have been using it ever since! In fact, we love it so much that we recently purchased another set! It's beautifully designed, and feels so nice in your hands. Love, love, love!

Simple and Elegant

This flatware was a gift to my daughter and son-in-law many years ago. They needed to add to their existing set and love this pattern. When we opened the wrappings, we were pleasantly surprised that the new flatware is a bit heavier than the old. Zwilling J.A. Henckels has not compromised their quality.

Great set.

This set is beautiful. The utensils have a nice weight when you hold them. Washing is easy and they look just as good as when brand new. This is my second set because a few pieces have been lost over time. I've had them a few years.
