What is 14K gold-tone? Is it worth the price?

I love the oval pink crystal, it’s the “14K gold tone” that has me puzzled. The setting looks OK for now, but how long will the “gold tone” last? Maybe a more accurate description of the setting metal would justify the price. 14K gold tone makes it sound like an exaggeration of the truth.

Fake reviews?? Bubble gum machine quality. What is 14k gold tone? So disappointed and I do not recommend.
