Disappointing :(

To get straight to the point…. Picture quality and sound quality are amazing. There are a lot of options in settings. It sits flat against the wall. However, the operative system (web iOS I believe) is quite disappointing and annoying. “Home Screen” several section that if you don’t need, you can’t remove. For example there is a “card section” for various services. Even though you can remove all the “cards” you are still left with massive notification “add cards…”. Above all there is a random photo with a notification “start new experience…” and “go to apps”. I don’t understand why that is there. I’m already using apps which are displayed directly underneath and also I have been using TV for quite some time so there is no need for “welcome to webOS”. Below that there are shortcuts to “device functions” aka guides for new users. Once again, there is no need for that as I have been using tv and yet you can’t remove that either. All in all, this webOS reminds me of early android phones that had loads of bloatware and you couldn’t remove it. If I knew this upfront I would have not purchased this TV, now I’m stuck with a premium product that operates like a low end android phone.

Fantastic TV - AAA product - pure cinema

I love this TV - fantastic viewing experience, good sound too (for TV speakers) and it's user-face is really easy to use. The flush wall mount is great as well - I was sceptical at first but it looks great in the living room. I hope it holds up for years to come.

Lg G5 65 tv

Bought the lg G5 65inch very very good tv. Have to mess around with the setting a lot to get the picture correct and stop the soap screen effect. For the cost of it I did expect slightly better for the top dog. The brightness is fab and little glare too. Reason for 4 star is the cost of it. Also be aware that when removing the packaging you can get a static electric shock from the tv

Great TV but problems with HDR

This is to help anyone that uses a G5 with a games console, there is currently an issue linked to HDR and 120hz handshake issues and the TV going into standby. This becomes very annoying when you have to power the TV back on wait for the screen to refresh with a another blank screen and then the picture resets back to normal, this isnt an isolated incident so you will have to perfom the same steps at somepoint again. From my tech experiece its the TV and could be linked to a firmware version as HDR has been an issue for others after reading more into it, apart from that its a great TV but LG need to get the fix underway as it makes it unplayable for me personally however trivial it might sound to others. Next fimrware due on the 18th December so fingers crossed.

Missing Mute

TV looks great! Few points to consider: does not come with a stand. While it does come with a wall mount, it doesn't tilt, at all. TV is SUPER bright! Im guessing the engineers were tired of hearing 'make it brighter'...you will have to knock down the brightness! Love the TV...but might biggest complaint is that there is no mute button on the remote. This may seem petty, and I would have rolled my eyes as well, until I reliazed how often I use it. Amd before anyone tells me 'just hold the volume button down'...that might be acceptable if the volume went back to the previous level, but it doesn't. So you have to hold the volume button again, to bring it back up. JUST HAVE A MUTE BUTTON! I also agree with others who have said you have to sign away your life to use some of the features.

I’m genuinely chuffed with it.

I’ve had the OLED65G56LS in the house for a week now, and yeah… it’s the kind of TV that makes you want to rewatch everything just to see what you’ve been missing. First thing: the picture is unreal. Proper deep blacks — not “dark grey pretending to be black.” Actual black. And because of that, everything else pops without looking fake. Faces look natural, colours look rich, and you don’t get that weird glow around bright objects in dark scenes. It just looks clean. Motion is spot on too. Fast scenes stay sharp, sports looks smooth, and it doesn’t turn people into blurry ghosts when they move too quickly. I notice that stuff straight away, and this handles it well. Sound-wise, it’s better than I expected for a thin TV. I’m not saying it replaces a full sound system, but for normal watching it’s clear, it’s got decent punch, and dialogue doesn’t get lost when a show decides to throw background music at you like it’s the main character. Also: it’s a proper nice-looking TV. One of those that actually makes the room look better instead of just being a big black rectangle hanging there. The design feels solid and premium. So yeah, if you want a TV that feels like a bit of an upgrade every time you switch it on, the OLED65G56LS does that. I’m genuinely chuffed with it.

Amazing TV

Coming from G4 I have to say G5 is quite an improvement. I did not expected that much of an upgrade. Very well made TV
