In general, this mask is fine. My skin felt and looked great after use. I would not recommend this for sensitive skin. Step 1 is a physical exfoliant. The cap on my step two bottle would not close - it’s showing in my picture. You can find products that do the same thing, that don’t require two steps.

Effective physical and chemical exfoliation
Great skin in a box. These products smell divine (like citrus!) and I love the combination of chemical and physical exfoliants. The physical scrub is gentle yet effective-no rough particles that will scratch your skin. The activator gel is the real powerhouse. It contains multiple highly effective chemical exfoliants. The combination is a quick five minute facial that make my skin SO soft and smooth. I really believe that it helped fade some summer sun spots, too.

Meh
The product exfoliates but I don’t find it too abrasive (it could probably go harder, lol). It also doesn’t do anything it says it will on the package (crystallize, foam). The first time I thought I did it wrong so I tried again and nothing changed. It smells good, but I’m underwhelmed.

Peel
The box says progress is made in baby steps. It only made my skin slightly softer. Feels like a salt or sugar scrub. I’m glad the box does warn you that it is warming.

Effective and worth it!
I have been using this product for a month and omg! The texture of my skin and brightness has improved drastically. My skin did purge a bit but I stuck to it after seeing all the amazing reviews and it’s been around for a long time!

Love this!
My skin has never felt softer! I used this product according to the instructions and when I rinsed, wow, my skin was so soft and felt so nice. I loved how unabrasive the peel was also, I didn’t feel like I was damaging my skin while using this because it was very gentle. Highly recommend!

I’d give it 10 stars if I could!
I absolutely love this set! First of all, it’s quick. I know that seems like a random place to begin, but the main reason I don’t use peels and masks as often as I should is because most require a 10-20+ minute commitment. This one has you in and out in less than 5! The scrub has a very light orange peel scent, as if you’ve been holding an orange in your hands. If you’re someone who has issues with scents, I don’t think you’ll have trouble with this one as the note is more of an essence of orange than a heavy fragrance. After massaging this onto your face for one (yes, 1!) minute, you then add the serum activator directly on top of the crystal scrub, and it creates a warm sensation. It doesn’t burn and only needs to sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. After using this, even the first time, my skin felt tight and smooth. I couldn’t believe how hydrated it stayed for hours after using. This will definitely be added to my regular skincare routine. The package recommends using it twice a week, which is very doable.
