Web ID: 8920761The fan that made memories for me
As I grew up, visiting my grandparents’ home that had no air conditioning, she would turn the Vornado on in the living room. And I would lie down on the floor. And the sound of it would put me to sleep, period. Summers in Georgia are hot and of course the wind felt good, but the sound of the Vornado, for me, was magical as it lulled me to nap. That is the main reason I bought this fan. Expensive for a fan? Yes. But already, I have fallen in love with my VFan Sr because of the flow and more importantly, the sound. Even my cat is lying there under the fan I believe because he is lulled off to sleep. My AC thermostat is set higher because the air movement is so comfortable that I don’t have to use it as much. Ask me if I love my VFan and you get a resounding yes. It took me years to purchase, because of the price, but I finally did and am as happy as a lark.

Vornado fan
Too heavy and bulky for a small apartment or condo. And, too expensive overall for the category. Returned.
I didn't know what I was missing
I absolutely love this fan. It is quiet, powerful, heavy, and well made. And it looks good in our house. I had grown used to the crappy plastic oscillating fans that we have used over the years and stopped thinking about fans as part of a home cooling strategy. With these new VFANs, we have bumped up the thermostat setting for our heat pumps and are even more comfortable than when the temp is lower. I'm already trying to think about where I would put a 3rd.

There are fans and there are FANS!
If hurricane winds are what you need, buy a Vornado! If you are a woman experiencing hot flashes, you know exactly what I mean. If you are wanting to ditch that cheap, plastic and just plain ugly fan, invest in whatever model of Vornado you are currently eyeballing. Yes, Vornados are more expensive but you truly DO get what you pay for. If vintage is your preferred eye candy, buy the vintage Vornado. As for reviews complaining about noise levels, I can only assume these are people who are stingy with 5 star reviews or have never owned a fan. Maybe these reviewers are new to planet earth and have no idea how a fan works? Yes, there is a hum because fans have motors. If you need a fan but require complete silence, do not buy a Vornado. Matter of fact, do not buy a fan, period! Probably best to just forget about them and suffer in blessed silence while the rest of us are enjoying our Vornados.

A workhorse!
This was the third one I bought. This fan is built like they used to build 'em. Looks fabulous with the decor of the rooms, works wonderfully well, and is quiet considering the amount of output.

Great Fan, Poor Internals
This product would be an easy 5/5 if the internals were of a higher quality. Unfortunately, within the span of six months, I have already had to make two warranty claims. The issue seems to be that the internals are of a poor quality. Something is prematurely wearing inside the motor and it causes a loud whirring/scraping/grinding noise. The same issue has presented itself on two separate fans now. I appreciate Vornado's warranty and the process for making a claim is relatively easy. However, I am of the mind that the product should be up to par in the first place and warranty claims should be a last resort. Even though the warranty process is relatively easy, you still need to wait for your replacement product to arrive, so you go several days without a fan. The fan has a great design and when it works, it works quite well. Sadly, the cheap mechanical parts inside the unit let down what would otherwise be the perfect fan. I also have a Vornado VFan Alchemy and that unit has been dead silent for the past two years. If Vornado were to make an Alchemy version of this fan, and assuming it were built to the same quality standards as the rest of the Alchemy line, I would buy it in a heartbeat. For what it's worth, this particular fan is not actually manufactured in the USA. Not sure if that has something to do with the quality, but just putting that out there for people who are looking into purchasing this fan.

Best Fan ever
I’ve had this fan for about 3 years now. I have a standard 10x12 room and it cools the whole room. I always leave it running and never turn it off. It runs seamlessly and fires right up everytime. I firmly believe our ancient ancestors slept with this fan. It’s the only way. It’s the right way. Feels as though you and the fan become one as you sleep. Also very stylish, would recommend to a friend.

Stylish Beautiful Retro Fan
This Vornado Air Circulator fan is very stylish and beautifully vintage. More importantly it works very well circulating cool air in our bedroom. It has a substantial weight. I got the white color and it’s more of a cream, just lovely. Packaged very well. The box itself has fun vintage details too. Three settings and just very happy with my purchase.
