Too Brief - Much Left Out - Better Books Available

I read this with a neighbor. It is dense and opaque. We slogged through it - but with little joy. It might have been a NYT bestseller - but we wondered several times how many people bought it simply to adorn their bookcase. Now we are reading Brian Greene's "The Fabric of the Cosmos." Significantly better book; touches on all the topics (briefly) mentioned by Hawking and more. [Might also suggest anything by Sean Carroll.]
