Love the look but not the fit

After reading reviews, I bought these sandals in 7.5 and 8. Neither worked. Unlike a regular flip flop style where your feet stay in place, your feet slide backwards after about 8 steps. 7.5 was exact fit so thought 8 would solve that problem. But it didn’t. I don’t have a high instep, so it wasn’t the strap. Loved the look, but sadly had to return them. I have never had this problem with other sandals.
