Do not buy AllClad Ceramic skillets!

I'm an enthusiastic user of All-Clad kitchen cookware, but the Ceramic Skillet is extremely hard to work with, because if you don't heat it up in just the right way, things will stick to it. And they stick even worse than they do in metal or "non-stick" pans, making clean-up very difficult. I would have returned this item, but it took me 6 months to figure out that the pan will not perform well; and All-Clad will claim that there is no "defect"; in my opinion, the entire concept of this Ceramic Skillet is defective.

Pro: nice looking skillet, size is perfect for me, good brand, ceramic Cons: no even heating, the cleaning is not easy as non-stick pan.

Good product, elbow grease needed for cleaning

Good pan for a decent price. It’s solid with a good ceramic coating. Definitely be aware though, the coating does not make it non-stick - follow their advice and use plenty of oil when cooking. Cooks nice and even though, no complaints there. It’s a bit hard to clean, doesn’t always get along with the dishwasher so you may have to hand scrub it. Solid 4/5 though - would buy again.

Needs a lid

I like it but it needs a lid. Can you supply a lid that fits?

Good pan but very heavy

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I will start off by saying that this review is based only on using the pan a couple of times and things can change after a few months and few years of use. First off, this pan is HEAVY. I am a small person with little upper body strength, so using this pan was very different for me (I'm used to lightweight pots and pans). Weight is comparable to an equivalent size cast iron skillet. It is beautiful though, and construction feels high-quality. I really love that the handle rivets are not on the interior of the skillet so that food doesn't get stuck in them. I was worried that because of the heaviness it would take a long time to heat up, but I was quite surprised that it heated up relatively quickly and held its heat very well on a medium-to-low setting. I like that the sides of the skillet are deep, which allows me to boil food in it as well as fry. The skillet didn't come with a lid though, so I feel limited with the type of cooking I can do with it. The main downside (or upside, depending on how you see it) of this skillet for me is the weight. Granted, this is probably due to the high-quality construction and materials used, but in practice it makes it a lot harder for me. Things like draining off water or transferring the finished meal into a serving dish are incredibly difficult because of how heavy the pan is. You need both arms to lift it up so if you're the type of person who likes to slide something out of a pan and onto the plate, this skillet will make it super hard to do so. On the other hand, cleaning the skillet was an easy task. I didn't find that any of my food stuck too much, but again, this is based only on a few uses and can definitely change if and when the ceramic coating wears down. If the weight of a skillet is not of concern to you, then this is an excellent pan to invest in. It's expensive, but it's a quality skillet that you will have for years to come.

Best skillet

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This skillet is absolutely amazing! I love that you can broil it to 500 degrees; I've always wanted a pan that could fry and then finish off in the oven & this exceeds my expectations. The look of it is really polished and nice & I really love how heavy it is 😁 Washing it is very simple and it is great material in a way that it really does not scratch easily at all. So happy to have had the opportunity to try this out & would definitely buy more of these in the future.

Great skillet

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) If you're looking for a skillet to defend your home with, this beast is the skillet for you! All kidding aside, if you have dexterity or grip issues you may want to consider a different product. Now onto the good! Heats very evenly and quickly. Easy to clean. Good quality piece of cookware. 4 star rating because the handle is already wobbly after one use. No way to tighten it so hopefully it will last a long time still
