Highly recommend this for pre-k- 2nd grade

The very talented author & illustrator Apryl Stott did it again with her latest picture book release. This story is great for 4-8 year olds to help them learn about how to have and navigate healthy friendships at a young age. Essentially this book can help kids work through feeling hurt, replaced, not good enough etc., something that many kids will face early on and this is a great tool of how to bring healing to mend friendships instead of letting wounds fester. Its all done in a beautiful fun and imaginative way with the help of lovely illustrations and a fun storyline. One particular note that i love is that it is Poppy's dad who helps her work through emotions. Giving her space to cry and then helping her talk through what she is feeling. I love that strong father role playing out, thank you Apryl for providing that in text form! All in all- go get this book and bring it to the classrooms and libraries, you won't regret it

lesson in sharing friends

Many of us are aware that 2 kids can play together just fine, but add a 3rd and sometimes problems arise. Well Poppy and Clementine are best friends and do everything together. But when Clementine begins spending some of her time with a new friend, Poppy becomes upset. How the issue is settled is a wonderful lesson.
