    second review

I am responding to the message I received about my review. I tried adding butter to the skillet while cooking eggs. It helped slightly, but still stuck. I have an Always pan and no sticking at all. Apparently, the difference in the non-stick coatings is the reason.

    not as advertised

I received this pan in Bronze as well as two other larger fry pans and griddle. This pan is NOT non-stick! I used it on med-low heat on a ceramic cook-top frying an egg. The egg did not slide around, and stuck to the pan. They seem to heat up more quickly due to the bottom heat conduction, but if you can't fry an egg without sticking, I don't see how anything else would not be sticking. From now on, I will need to use butter, or some other form of greasing it to prevent food from sticking!

    terrible

I am so sick I did a lot of research and bought the indigo set with matching utensils and the very first time I used it both pots scratched and dented on the edge. My cheaper pans at least lasted 1 year.

    Great solid non-stick pan.

This is a heavy and well-made pan with exceptional non-stick properties. But it is too soon to say how that holds up over time, only had it a few weeks. So far, will definitely recommend.

If you're looking for a subpar pan, this isn't it.

Love all my Anolon products. This is a great daily use pan. It's well-made, heats evenly, is sturdy/has good weight, with a high quality nonstick surface. I purchased this to replace a subpar, cheap pan. I chose Anolon as the replacement because everything I own of Anolon is still alive and kicking after many years of regular use (except for the one I dropped on concrete). Highly recommend. Buyer Beware

I purchased three skillets 3-1/2 years ago. I was impressed with the look, weight, heat distribution and retention, and a handle (all metal) that you could actually hold on to without getting burned. Unfortunately the anodized coating didn't perform to my expectation and started to flake off on the 8.5" pan which is used daily. There are other similar nonstick cookware on the market that perform just as well for less. Wouldn't buy again.
